WHAT IS THE PRELAW COURSE?

The PreLaw Course is a one day legal careers course, comprising of presentations and interactive workshops by qualified Solicitors and Barristers.
The aim of the course is to educate and inform students who may be considering a career in law. 
The course also helps students to make an informed decision and have a more rewarding and productive career.
The course presents practical information about Law as a career and also includes opportunities for all attendees to try their hand at some of the practical tasks involved in Law, such as preparing a legal case and examining legal precedents!
There are no entry requirements and no age limits to attending The PreLaw Course.
The PreLaw Course organisers have no ties or links with any University or School of Law, we aim to present unbiased, independent information.

LECTURE-STYLE PRESENTATIONS:

- Application procedures: how to apply, and how to maximise chances of acceptance.
- Selection and Interviews: including advice on interview and presentation skills.
- Law school curriculum: What is taught and how it is taught.
- Law careers: the diversity of careers available, pay scales etc...

INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS:

- Legal and ethical dilemmas: The PreLaw solicitors and barristers discuss legal cases
- The cross examination: Two of the PreLaw barristers re-enact a true to life in-court cross examination
- Life as a Lawyer: The PreLaw solicitors and barristers describe what they actually do on a day to day basis
