essential course facts: when, where and how much?

The price of the course is £99 and includes:

All lectures, presentations and workshops.
Lunch: A buffet of sandwiches, crisps, fruit juices, fruit and biscuits.
Morning and afternoon refreshments: A selection of fruit, snacks, fruit juices and water.
We are able to keep the cost of the course to a minimum by doing all the course administration ourselves. 
All the Solicitors and Barristers who teach or present are in full time work.

What your course fee is used for:

- Value Added Tax (VAT) at the prevailing rate.
- Remuneration for the presenting lawyers' expenses for their time preparing for and presenting at the course.
- Hire of the venue and audiovisual facilities.
- The catering for the day (see above).
- The costs of marketing and advertising the course.
- The costs of hosting, designing and maintaining the course website.
- The cost of event liability insurance.

When are courses held?

Courses are generally held in August/September, December and April/May of each year.
As soon as course dates are confirmed, they are posted here on the website.

Timings

Timings:    Starts at 9.45am - Finishes at 4.45pm.
Registration opens at 9.00am (please note, there will be no entry into the buildings before this time).
Do not worry if you are running late on the day, entry will still be permitted, we understand that you may be travelling a long distance to reach the course.
You may, of course, leave the course early if you need to at the end of the day.

There is no parking available on site.
Parents are requested not to stay during the course, suggestions to keep them entertained are listed below.
Please bring a copy of your email confirmation.

We are not able to provide or recommend any local accommodation, but there are hundreds of local hotels and B&Bs within a short distance of the venue.

Local attractions:

If your parents are dropping you off at the venue, there is plenty for them to do whilst you attend the course.

You may bring pen and paper to make notes during the day, if you wish.
Everything else is provided, including refreshments and lunch.

What to wear

There is no dress code for the day.  Most attendees wear casual dress.

Special Dietary Arrangements

Food suitable for all dietary preferences is available on the day, you do not need to inform us of any special requirements.

Video and Audio Recording

No video or audio recording is permitted during the course.
